Pet Food Australia was founded by husband and wife team Lee and Fiona, two lifelong animal lovers brought together by a shared passion for helping dogs live healthier, happier lives.
For Lee, the journey began long before the business existed. Growing up in Southeastern Europe, he spent much of his childhood rescuing stray dogs from the streets. Those early experiences shaped a deep belief that every dog deserves care, dignity, and the chance to thrive no matter where they come from.
After moving to Australia, Lee met Fiona, who had built her own career working closely with dogs as a professional dog trainer and groomer. Together, they dedicated their lives to animal care, opening an animal shelter and later a boarding kennel where they cared for thousands of dogs over the years.
It was during this time that they witnessed something heartbreaking. Far too many dogs were suffering from preventable health issues. Skin conditions, allergies, poor digestion, low energy, dull coats, and overall poor wellbeing had become incredibly common.
But they also witnessed something inspiring.
With proper care, love, and most importantly the right nutrition, many of these dogs transformed completely. Owners would return to collect their pets and be amazed by the difference in healthier coats, brighter eyes, more energy, calmer behaviour, and happier lives.
That experience changed everything.
Lee and Fiona realised that nutrition was one of the most overlooked factors in pet health, and they became determined to do something about it. They created Pet Food Australia with one simple mission:
To transform pets’ lives through honest, functional nutrition, so pets can thrive and owners can finally feel relief and peace of mind.
Today, Pet Food Australia continues to help thousands of dogs across the country live healthier lives through carefully crafted nutrition built on real experience, compassion, and a genuine understanding of dogs.
This isn’t just a business to Lee and Fiona. It’s a lifelong passion and purpose.
Because every dog deserves the chance to thrive.
