What is the best dog food for a sensitive stomach?
Many pet owners choose grain free recipes with named proteins for dogs with digestive sensitivities. All five of our recipes are grain free. If your dog reacts to poultry specifically, the kangaroo and ocean fish recipe is made without chicken meat, and the insect protein recipe contains no chicken meat, chicken protein or chicken fat at all.
Does grain free mean the food is free from chicken or other proteins?
No. Grain free means the recipe is made without grain ingredients. A grain free recipe may still contain chicken, fish, lamb or another animal ingredient. Always read the complete ingredient list when your dog has a known exclusion.
Which recipe is intended for puppies?
Puppy Chicken & Duck is our recipe formulated for growth, with 32% protein and 2% calcium to support developing bones and brain development. Puppies should be fed a food intended for their life stage rather than an adult recipe.
Which option is intended for a lower-fat requirement?
Turkey & Lamb — Low Fat is the recipe designed for that requirement, at 9% fat against 14–17% in the other recipes, while still delivering 30% protein from turkey and lamb. Follow any directions prescribed by your veterinarian.
What is a novel protein dog food?
Novel protein recipes use less common protein sources — kangaroo or insect protein — which some dogs tolerate better than commonly used proteins like chicken. Owners often choose these when managing food sensitivities.

How much dog food does my dog need per day?
As a guide: up to 5kg body weight, up to 160g a day; 5–10kg, 100–150g; 10–25kg, 150–250g; 25–50kg, 250–400g; over 50kg, 420g and up. Adjust to your dog's body condition and activity level, and always provide fresh water. Puppy feeding amounts differ — check the puppy product page.
Should I buy small kibble or large kibble?
Small kibble suits small to medium dogs and comes in the smaller bags. Large kibble suits bigger breeds, encourages chewing rather than gulping, and comes in the 20kg bags. Both sizes use the same recipe.
How do I transition my dog onto a new food?
Gradually introduce the new food over 7–10 days by mixing increasing amounts with your dog's current food. Dogs with sensitive stomachs may benefit from a slower change.
